health and economic effects. According to the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, extreme droughts are nearly twice as likely today due to climate change. These make
identification crucial to prevent its adverse consequences.

The Drought Health Risk Index identifies in advance the health and medical needs of the impacted population. This informs emergency response personnel, public health officials, governments, economic development, city/civic planners, and global public health organizations the information they need to:

- Develop policies for resilience during a drought to limit its impact.
- Speed response and supply allocation efforts during a drought scenario.
- Aid post-drought recovery and future mitigation efforts

This dataset can be customized to meet specific needs. For instance, incorporating historical trend analysis and forecasting across multiple years are possible, as well as replicating this dataset for other nations and regions across the globe, based on data availability.
Drought Health Risk Index Layer
Geo Orchestration AI's Drought Health Risk Index utilizes social, environmental, economic, and health conditions data from the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Statistics Canada, and the Canadian Chronic Disease Surveillance System to identify in advance the health and medical needs of a drought-impacted population.
